Student Activities

Members of Lipscomb's Pi Beta Sigma Social Work Society help with landscaping and construction of a Habitat for Humanity home in Nashivlle.

Four year olds from the Tom Joy Head Start Program enjoy a Christmas Party, complete with Santa, hosted on campus by Lipscomb Social Work Students. Each youngster received a toy from his or her wish list and a gift bag containing new sneakers, socks, mittens, a stocking cap, and a Bible. Teachers at Head Start were given small gifts of appreciation, and a large box of school supplies was given for the classroom.

Senior Social Work students visit with underclassmen during the Spring Social Work Career Fair. The Fair provides an opportunity for younger students to learn, from agency exhibits displayed and staffed by seniors, the many opportunities available in Field Practicum I and II.
